I was never much into visualisation myself.
I thought that it belonged to a fairy tale world of “childish imagination”.
Who needs “imagination” in the real world?
However, after practicing qigong daily for 7 years, which heavily employ the trinity of body (posture), breath (breathing exercises and mantras) as well as mind (visualisation), I had a breakthrough.
After completing a 3 year qigong program, I realized that our mind is what controls our reality. Through so many years of daily practice, my mind power had become so strong, that when I visualised during my qigong, the world disappeared, and I felt like I was “inside” the story I was visualising.
When your mind achieves this level of power, you can use it for self healing, healing others, and many other things.
For me, the power of visualisation was a “surprise bonus” that I came across by chance, simply because it was a part of qigong.
Howver, I recently stumbled across a program which really zooms in and gives the details about visualisation as an isolated phenomenon. It’s really interesting to hear.
